Call for applications: Director of Children's Institute, University of Cape Town

Prof Shirley Pendlebury is due to retire in June 2012. The Institute seek to appoint a successor director, on a three-year renewable contract from 1 July 2012, or as soon thereafter as possible.

The purpose of the post is to:
-provide intellectual and strategic leadership;
-play a leading role in research, teaching and public engagement on policies, laws and services that affect children;
-attract and develop staff of quality; and
-build and maintain strategic relationships whilst attracting funds to support the work of Children’s Institute.
