Workshop participants, Guadalajara, September 2018

The workshop will discuss the democratising and redistributive role of states with a focus on countries marked by high level of poverty and inequality. The discussion will be framed within the contemporary "social question" and the way to deal with it proposed by the United Nations Agenda 2030 for sustainable development.

The workshop organisers invite to present proposals that theoretically and empirically study the social transformations required to eradicate poverty in all its dimensions (SDG #1) and significantly reduce the inequality within and among countries (SDG #10) while reaching full and decent employment for all (SDG #8).
