While the UN claims to have made significant progress on the Millennium Development Goals, philosopher Thomas Pogge spoke recently with Ben Hill about the true current state of global poverty, the systemic problems thwarting our best efforts to alleviate it, and the smarter solutions he and others are working on to circumvent these problems.
