Formación de competencias para salir de la pobreza en modelos educativos rurales

Josué Norberto RAMON SUAREZ CLACSO-CROP Series, CLACSO, Buenos Aires, July 2010.

This book deals with the impact of rural educational programmes supported by multilateral credit organisms with respect to development of abilities for getting out of poverty. In particular it aims to describe the focus of the role of the multilateral organisms assisting educational programmes in Colombia such as Escuela Nueva, Postprimaria Rural and Educacion Media Rural. At the same time it seeks to typify the various abilities developed by the models such as “knowing”, “knowing to do”, “knowing to be” and “knowing to coexist” and their influence in the real life of those who are the users of these educational models. Finally, the author (from Colombia) puts forward some weaknesses of the studied models with respect to combating poverty, such as those related to the articulation of pedagogical products with the development of capacities to face real life challenges.
