Jakob has been CROP's managing editor since October 2013.
After several years working as a journalist and editor in Germany, the UK and Eastern Europe, he became Commissioning Editor at Zed Books in London before establishing himself as a freelance publishing consultant.
He holds MA degrees in philosophy, linguistics and politics, acquired in Berlin, Paris and London.
