CROP Annual Report 2011
2011 has been an especially significant year as CROP has been adjusting to its new institutional setting within the University of Bergen which is intended to guarantee CROP's sustainability as well as the accomplishment of its historical objectives.
The focus during this period has been on health, water and universal social policies. The importance of these topics for those who live in poverty is so obvious that their central place in CROP's agenda requires no further justification. All three topics will remain central to CROP's core activities both in their own right and as part of a broader discussion of the MDGs and the future of international co-operation toward poverty eradication.
For the near-term future, the CROP Scientific Committee and the Secretariat will dedicate themselves to improving CROP's performance based on the lessons of The Programmes recent experiences and to do the best it can to mobilize critical research for the purpose of poverty eradication and prevention. CROP intend to do so with the committed support of all members of the CROP network.
