CONFERENCE: Globalisation at the Crossroads - Rethinking Inequalities and Boundaries

21-23 August 2017 | Bergen, Norway

EADI Nordic Conference 2017

The EADI General Conference is organized every third year. It serves as the association's public forum for academic exchange, reflection and debate on pressing global and developmental questions.

In 2017, EADI joins forces together with NFU (Norwegian Association of Development Research) and the University of Bergen (UiB) as the local host to invite scholars, policymakers and practitioners to a three-day conference to engage in new approaches to understand global challenges and reflect on paths forward.

The calls for panels and papers will be issued by the end of August. The organizer encourage focus on unjust taxation systems and tax evasion, transnational migration (and conflicts), and urbanisation of development.

The conference targets scholars, students, practitioners and policy-makers within the broad field of development research: Researchers and students, Members of development agencies, Representatives of governmental, non-governmental agencies, and Representatives of civil society organisations
