Call for CROP Poverty Briefs

ANNOUNCEMENT: CROP welcomes submissions to the CROP Poverty Brief series.

Deadline: 1 November 2014

The CROP Poverty Briefs are a series of short research notes highlighting recent poverty research and policies related to alleviating poverty, with a goal to provide knowledge and understanding of the themes involved. So far over 20 briefs have been published.

Prioritised topics and themes are as stated in the CROP Strategic Plan and constitute a core element of CROP’s dissemination strategy:

  • Structural and Institutional Change for Sustainable Development: MDGs and post‐MDGs Scenario
  • Social Policies and Welfare States
  • Human Development and Sustainability Science
  • Poverty and Media
  • Child Poverty and Inequalities
  • Rights, Institutions and Global Justice

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: 1 NOVEMBER, 2014

The brief should not exceed 1000-1200 words and should be structured as follows:

  • Introduction (50-100 words)
  • Sections with (clear) headings
  • Conclusion/Recommendations
  • Reference/Notes (preferably following the Harvard reference system)

In addition, a CV no longer than one page must be submitted clearly indicating the name, title and contact information of the author(s) as well as a list of recent publications.

Submit the documents to CROP for evaluation by the CROP Brief series editors.
