Vigdis Lian
President Norwegian National Commission, UNESCO
Vigdis Lian is the President for the Norwegian National Commission, UNESCO.
She was the former Director of the Norwegian Film Institute and is currently the President of the Norwegian National Commision. The National Commission was established during the fall 2008 and will be in office until 2012. The Commission concentrates on giving advice to the Norwegian government in UNESCO-related issues. It is also active in promoting UNESCO`s ideas and in making UNESCO known in the Norwegian society.
