Capacity-building as a tool for meeting global challenges – focus on climate and energy

SEMINAR: NORAD and SIU are organising a seminar on effects of South-North cooperation in research and higher education within the field of climate, energy, environment and development.

Dr Heide Hackmann, Secretary General of ISSC and CROP Scientific Committe Ex-offico member will give a presentation on the present research agenda regarding social and human aspects of climate change.

The seminar will present best practices of capacity building in research and higher education as a contribution to solve challenges related to climate, energy, environment and development. Representatives from a NUFU-funded project in Africa and a NOMA-funded project in Asia will present relevant results/effects and experiences from their projects.
